Over the past few days I’ve watched two movies and I’ve come to the conclusion that I might be getting just a wee bit critical in my old age (of 22). I mean they’ve been good movies but there’s some about each of them. First off was Everything Must Go…and actually I quite liked it. It was an interesting film and it was nice to see Will Farrell in a serious roll. But the ending….I didn’t see one. It just kind of ended. Everything was just kind of accepted and that’s not what I like it see. Yea I like a movie that makes you think about the characters after it’s finished but a lil direction as too what will happen would be nice.
Second up earlier tonight was The Way of the West. Again I liked it, I think. The film started l over the place. There was a flashback scene and I didn’t realise it was a flash back until it was brought up 20minutes later. The sad thing is it could have worked as part of the present time flow. And a woman was shot though the left hand side of the chest, though what looked like the heart and she magically lives. She looked dead. And I think the movie would have worked slightly better if she had died. Just my opinion.
I think I might have to write a film now just too see how hard it is. Might have a wee bit more appreciation for the writers. But for now I’ll watch California Man and feed my distaste for Polly Shore xp
